Adorable Mini Stegosaurus Amigurumi

Remember Stuart the Stegosaurus? He was really fun to make and has been a quirky piece of home decor. (Scroll to the end to see where Stuart lives now). Recently I decided to get back into making amigurumi but I had wandered down the path toward creative block. I just couldn't think of anything until I looked over at Stuart and an idea struck: Make a mini stegosaurus! I learned that if you have creative block, just look to something you made in the past that brought you joy when you made it, then make it again but different.

In this variation of Stuart, I went with a much smaller body and I made the legs separate from the body. And because of the size difference, for the scales I went with a row of shell-like stitches instead of individual scales. This little guy turned out so cute and I just love having him on my desk.

Crochet your own cute little stegosaurus with this mini amigurumi pattern.

These days, when Stuart the Stegosaurus isn't out luring the mysterious creature, he hangs out on one of our plant shelves (yes, we have more than one shelf dedicated to plants) and mini stegosaurus came by for a visit. Aren't they adorable?!
