Crochet Witch Hat Square
How iconic is a witch's hat at this time of year? I've been "busy" lining up a movie marathon selection that includes The Witches, Hocus Pocus 1 and 2, and maybe a Disney short thrown in there like Trick or Treat. I really enjoyed making this witch hat C2C crochet pattern and love how it turned out!
Witch Hat
C2C Crochet Pattern
Each square was made using the corner to corner (C2C) crochet technique. In this technique, you're crocheting in a diagonal direction - from corner to corner - and using double crochet stitches throughout. It's really fun and a bit addictive when you get the hang of it!
I used worsted weight (4) acrylic yarn and a size 4.00mm/G-6 hook to crochet this witch hat C2C crochet square but you can try making it with finer or thicker yarn for a smaller or bigger size square. Just be sure to use the appropriate size hook as well.
The finished size for each of my squares turned out to be 17.5” wide x 15.5” tall.
There are a few things you could do with these squares. Here are a few ideas:
Join them to make a lap blanket
Hang them as wall art
Join 2 squares to make a pillow cover
Use a finer yarn and smaller hook to make placemats or mug rugs
