Minion Drink Cozy Crochet Pattern

Every now and then, when I check my site stats, I like to see the search terms people use to find my blog. I often see the usual suspects like "free whale crochet pattern" or "cute amigurumi dolphin pattern." Occasionally, the terms are a bit more random, such as "how to take pics of starfish."

But the one that recently caught my eye was "how to crochet a minion beer cozy." Naturally, my first thought was, "Why haven't I made one yet?!"

And so, I present to you this free crochet minion drink cozy pattern.

To the person looking for a Minion Beer Cozy, thanks for the inspiration. Here you go:

Minion Drink Cozy Crochet Pattern

This cozy pattern is for a 355ml bottle or can, but you can adjust the size by increasing the base circle stitches to make it larger or starting with fewer base circle stitches to make it smaller.

The pattern is worked in continuous rounds, do not join or turn at the end of the round.

Colour changes are made in previous stitch. Work in somewhat tight stitches.

Add details to your Minion cozy!

Cut out a small circle, the same size as the goggle.

Cut a tiny slit in the felt circle, big enough for the safety eye to fit. Attach the safety eye to the cozy with the felt circle in place. Trim the excess stem if necessary (with this cozy, because there is a layer of felt in between, I didn't find it necessary to trim the excess safety eye stem as I have done with other cozies).

Sew around the felt circle with thread.

With a yarn needle sew the goggle over the felt circle.

And your crochet Minion cozy is done! Bring him with you to the beach, the cottage, and any social gathering where you’ll be enjoying cold drinks!
