Buzzy Bee Crochet Pattern
This past weekend I was finally able to enjoy a drink on a sunny patio. It wasn't quite as warm as I would have liked but the sun (despite the passing clouds) was delicious and warm on my back.
Slowly, the weather is warming but it's still cold enough that most bugs and insects haven't made their usual appearances. Normally this wouldn't bother me and I'd even say, "Ugh, so glad the insects aren't around yet" but with the decline in bee population, I'm actually worried we haven't seen any buzzing bees.
I love flowers and produce and without the bees acting as pollinators I fear we'll end up with a grey and barren Earth. So, with my thoughts on these insects, I decided to make an adorable amigurumi bee crochet pattern.
But first, if you’re interested in learning more about how we can protect the bees check out this info sheet on davidsuzuki.org.
These little bees would be perfect as key chains, desk companions, and other home decor ideas. Gift them to someone who loves bees, they will surely put a smile on their face!
