I find flying pigs incredibly funny and super cute, which is why for the longest time I’ve been wanting to crochet a flying pig. Of course, other projects always came up and I would put the flying pig idea on the back burner. It’s funny though, I’ve made regular, plain, old pigs before and all I really needed to do was add wings but…
Anyway, I decided today would be the day to finally crochet a Flying Pig!
The pattern is fairly easy, just a few odd stitches here and there – the wings in particular caused a bit of frustration but eventually I used a simple way to create the shape I wanted. The only part that I stuffed with fiberfill was the body but if you decide to make this you can definitely add stuffing to the legs and snout, though I don’t think it’s really necessary. For this pig I didn’t use safety eyes and instead stitched upside down V’s to create laughing eyes – he is after all happily soaring through the clouds!
The PDF pattern can be downloaded here. And guess what? I’m also selling the pattern as well as the finished project on my Etsy store!
