Crochet Coffee Cup Cozy Pattern

It's International Coffee Day! This means I'll most likely be drinking coffee all day! Yay! Or maybe I've already had enough...but anywho, here's a crochet coffee cup cozy!

Crochet Coffee Cup Cozy Pattern

This coffee cozy fits most coffee shop cups like a tall Starbucks cup.

The pattern is easily adjustable to fit different sizes, just increase/decrease row stitches to get the right measurement.

Materials

  • Worsted weight (4) yarn, such as Bernat Super Value - Mushroom, Soft Grey, and Red Heart Soft - Deep Sea

  • 4.00 mm crochet hook

  • Scissors

  • Stitch marker

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked in rounds joined by slip stitches, turn at the end of each round.

Increases are made twice in each increase round, equally spaced apart - the best way to do this is to flatten the piece at the join and place a stitch marker, then place the marker in the stitch at the opposite end.

The starting chain number is a suggestion, you can chain and measure around your cup to make sure it will fit.

Pattern

Round 1: ch 34, sl st to first ch to form ring, without turning ch 1 and sc in each ch, sl st to first sc, turn.

Round 2: ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st to first sc, turn.

For the following Rounds refer to chart for color changes. I changed my color after 7 sc from the beginning.

Round 3: ch 1, inc, sc to next marker and inc, sc to end, sl st to first sc, turn.

Round 4-5: ch 1, sc around, sl st to first sc, turn.

Round 6: repeat Round 3.

Round 7-8: repeat Round 4.

Round 9: repeat Round 3.

Round 10-14: repeat Round 4.

Fasten off and weave ends.
