September Socks

Ever have those days when you want to check things off your list but there’s so much going on that you barely manage to finish one task? That’s what September was like. Life, as it tends to do, got in the way of crochet (again!). Life has no consideration for my oh so important crochet schedule but (I’m sorry) c’est la vie! I finished this pair of socks a day late, which isn’t that bad, I just wish I hadn’t felt so rushed near the end. I had plenty of yarn left over to make the socks higher but I worried I wouldn’t have enough time so they turned into ankle socks. This was also the first time I didn’t use a pattern, I went rogue and did my own thing, experimented and played around with stitches. At first I was very diligent about taking notes but after I got to the heel I decided I needed more experience in heel-making before I could share. The heel-ankle part turned out very snug and I don’t know why. Can anyone tell me? Anyone? Everything else fits perfectly and I love the feel of the yarn (Loops & Threads Woolike in Pumpkin Spice). Overall quite happy with the results and extremely eager to continue practicing heel-making.
